Can you elaborate on how the content was generated? Was it a simple copy/paste of the story and then a link back to it? Or was the content further curated or edited in some way? This to me seems where most of the effort would be spent. You mentioned a Daily Mail article… so did he change the content of that article? or just the headline and then repost it?

Posted awesome, viral content still gets you a lot of traffic if enough people share it with their friends.

The algo change and Facebook did mostly affects the page’s own posts.

Yes, because Facebook changed their algo to ensure that posts from your page won’t see eyes of the page’s fans unless you boost a post and use advertising. Now, if only there was another way to get free viral traffic…..hmm
