Block or Unblock a Viber Contact From the Chat Screen

Step 1: Launch the Rakuten Viber app on your Android or iOS device. Ensure to be on the Chat tab.

Step 2: Locate the chat with the person you want to block and open it. Press the three-dots icon.

Tip: You can tap the Search icon and type the contact’s name to find the chat quickly.

Step 3: Select Chat info. Scroll down and tap Block this contact.

Note: To unblock the user from the chat window, find and open the contact’s chat > Press the Unblock button.

Block or Unblock Someone From the Contacts List

If you haven’t talked to the person you want to block before or deleted your past chats, you can still block them using the contacts list. Adhere to the steps below:

Step 1: Open Viber on your phone and tap on the Chat icon.

Step 2: Press the Search icon and type the name of the person you want to block. Open the contact card by tapping on it.

Step 4: At the top, tap on the contact’s name. Scroll down and choose Block this contact.

You can control your account and find all the tools you need to manage your account on the Viber settings. Blocking is one of these tools. Follow the steps provided to block someone on Viber through the settings.

Step 1: Launch the Viber app on your device.

• They can’t add you to their groups.
