Basic Fixes
- Check network connection: Ensure there’s no problem with your Wi-Fi or cellular network.
- Check if Instagram is down: Check if Instagram is facing downtime. If yes, wait for the platform to be restored.
- Sign out and sign in: Log out of Instagram and sign in to see if it fixes the problem.
- Update Instagram: Update Instagram to the latest version on your Android or iOS device for a bug-free experience.
Fix 1: Change Network Connection
When you encounter the ‘feedback_required’ message on Instagram, the company blocks your account’s IP address. However, you can access the account by switching from mobile data to a Wi-Fi network.
You can also modify your IP address by using a VPN network on your iPhone or Android phone.
Fix 2: Clear Instagram Cache
Instagram collects cache in the background to improve overall app performance. You can clear the collected cache and try getting your account back.
On iPhone
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone and scroll to General.
Step 2: Select iPhone Storage > open Instagram > tap on Offload App.
Offloading the app removes the cache and junk files apart from removing the app package – use the Reinstall App option to download it back.
On Android
Step 1: Long-press on the Instagram app icon and open the app info menu.
Step 2: Select Storage & cache > tap Clear Cache.
Fix 3: Remove Third-Party Connected Apps
If Instagram considers any connected third-party app suspicious, you may see the error message. Try removing the connected third-party apps to see if the problem is resolved.
Step 1: Open Instagram > go to your Profile > tap on the hamburger-shaped menu icon at the top right.
Step 2: Tap on Settings and Privacy > go to Website Permissions.
Step 3: Tap on Apps and Websites > Remove in the Active menu to disconnect the app from Instagram.
