How to Setup and Use Snapchat on Web

Setup Your Snapchat Account on the Web

Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store, search for Snapchat, and download it.

Step 2: Launch the Snapchat app and log in with your account details. If you have enabled 2FA (two-factor authentication) on your account, Snapchat might ask for a verification code.

Step 3: Snapchat will ask you to provide camera permission. Click Got it to provide the permission.

Step 4: The web will ask to allow the camera and microphone permission to function smoothly. Select Allow if you plan to compose/receive voice or video calls on Snapchat or want to send snaps using the laptop camera.

Snapchat DM (direct messages) menu will appear on the left with your most recent conversations.

Enable Snapchat Notifications on the Web

To receive real-time messages, snaps, and incoming calls on the desktop, you must enable notification permission for the Snapchat web.

Step 1: Open the Snapchat app > click the three dots icon at the top bar > choose Privacy > Manage privacy settings.

Step 2: Choose Allow from the Notifications drop-down menu.

Step 3: Reload the tab to apply the changes.

To disable notifications from a specific contact, go through the steps below.

Step 1: Open a conversation on the Snapchat web, click the contact’s name at the top, and select Message notifications.

Step 2: Click the radio button beside Silent to mute notifications.
