Basic Fixes
- Join using computer audio: The Zoom app will offer a pop-up to let you join with Computer Audio when you tap on the New Meeting option. You can enable the Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting option.
- Check the Microphone on the other side: The audio is working perfectly fine on your side. The issue might be from the other side.
- Disable Bluetooth connections: You might have used Bluetooth on your PC or Mac to connect headphones or TWS (Total Wireless Stereo).
- Update Zoom app: Installing the latest version will help in removing bugs.
Fix 1: Select Your Device Speakers From the Zoom Audio Settings
Zoom allows you to change the default speakers for the meeting. If you are using your phone as a webcam or connected to some third-party speakers, you must ensure that you have selected the Zoom Audio Settings’ relevant accessory.
Fix 2: Check Audio Output Levels
The Zoom app lets you set up the output levels for your calls. You need to check and increase the audio level for your Zoom client.
Step 1: Open the Zoom app on your device and tap on the Settings icon at the upper right corner.
Step 2: Go to Audio settings > use the slider and tap on the Test Speakers button to adjust the volume levels.
Fix 3: Check Audio Drivers on Windows
The audio drivers on your Windows 11 PC or laptop must be updated since they are responsible for using your phone’s microphone as the default microphone on video apps.
Step 1: Open Device Manager on your Windows 11 PC or laptop.
Step 2: From the Audio Input and Output option, you will find the Intel drivers and the Realtek microphone responsible for using your phone’s microphone as the default microphone on video apps. Right-click on the microphone and select update drivers.
Step 3: Scroll down and go to Sound, Video, and Game controllers.
Step 4: Right-click on the audio drivers and update them.
Fix 4: Disable Audio Signal Processing
You can try disabling this feature which is available only for Windows users.
Step 1: Open the Zoom app on your Windows 11 PC and then go to Settings.
Step 2: Click on Audio from the left menu and then scroll down to the bottom to select Advanced.
Step 3: Click the dropdown menu next to Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers and disable it.
Fix 5: Enable or Disable Background Noise Suppression
Background Noise Suppression can sometimes block your voice while taking Zoom calls.
Step 1: Open the Zoom app and then go to Settings.
Step 2: Click on Audio from the left menu and look for Background noise suppression.
Step 3: Enable and disable the setting. Then, check if the problem is solved.

I need to know why the sound was glitching at my end. I was told by people on my webinar that it would cut out every now and then. Any ideas? Thank you.
