6 Ways to Turn off Do Not Disturb on Samsung Galaxy Phones

• Using Bixby: You can also use Bixby, Samsung’s digital assistant, to disable DND on your Samsung Galaxy phone. Just say, “Hey Bixby, turn off do not disturb,” and wait for it to do so.

Method 1: From the Settings App

The easiest way to turn off DND on your Samsung phone is through the Settings menu. Follow the below steps to do so.

Step 1: Open the Settings app > tap on Notifications. Then, tap on Do not disturb.

Step 2: Here, turn off the toggle for Do not disturb.

Method 2: Turn off Do Not Disturb Schedule

If Do Not Disturb keeps turning on at a particular time, it might be because you have accidentally enabled its scheduling feature. In this case, here’s how to turn off the Do Not Disturb schedule on your Samsung phone.

Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Notifications. Then, tap on Do not disturb.

Step 2: Now, turn off the toggle for any active schedule.

Method 3: Turn off Do Not Disturb While Driving From Google Settings

Your phone can also automatically activate Do Not Disturb whenever it feels like you’re driving. If you don’t want this to happen, turn off the relevant settings that allow Google to enable DND when you’re driving on your Samsung phone. Here’s how.

Step 1: Open the Settings app > tap on Google > Personal Safety.

Step 2: Then, tap on Silence notifications while driving. Finally, turn off the toggle for Silence notifications while driving.

Tip: Revoke the Do Not Disturb permission from Google by going to App settings. Tap on the three-dot icon > Special access. Here, tap on Do not disturb permission and turn off the toggle for Google.

Method 4: Check Other Sound Modes

Besides the Driving Mode, Samsung offers sound modes like Theater, Exercise, etc., that can turn on the Do Not Disturb mode on your phone. To turn off DND, you must check and disable any of these active modes. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open Settings > tap on Modes and Routines > relevant mode > tap on Turn on automatically.

Step 2: Disable all the toggles > tap on Done. Then, turn off the Do not disturb toggle.

You can repeat these steps and disable any other mode enabling DND on your Samsung phone.

Method 5: Turn off Do Not Disturb While Playing Games

If the Do Not Disturb mode gets activated while playing any game on your phone, disable this feature using the Settings app. Follow the below steps to do it.

Step 1: Open Settings > tap on the magnifying glass icon at the top-right corner. Then, type Game Booster settings and open the relevant app.

Step 2: Here, tap on Block during game. Then, turn off the toggle for Notifications.

Method 6: Turn off Do Not Disturb From Connected Smartwatch

Your Samsung smartwatch may also enable DND on your phone if you enable Do Not Disturb on the watch. In this case, you can un-sync this setting from your Samsung phone. Here’s how.

Step 2: Then, turn off the toggle for Sync Do not disturb with phone.

You can also go to Watch settings > Advanced features > Bedtime mode. Then, turn off the Sync bedtime mode toggle to stop your Samsung watch from enabling Bedtime Mode on your Samsung phone.
