How to Create or Remove a Contacts List on iPhone

• Open the Contacts app > Lists > Add List. Select the account and create a new contacts list. Then, add the contacts as required.
• You can add or remove contacts to an existing contacts list if required.
• Go to the Contacts app, hold, and swipe left on the contacts list. Tap on the bin icon to delete the entire contacts list.

How to Create a Contact List on Your iPhone

On devices running iOS 16 and above, you can use the Phone or the Contacts app to create a contacts list. Once you have done this, all the selected contacts will be clubbed under this list, making them easy to access. Note that you can create more than one contacts list per requirement. Follow the below steps to do it.

Step 1: Open the Contacts app and tap on Lists at the top-left corner. Here, tap on Add List in the top-right corner.

Tip: If you use the Phone app, tap on Contacts from the menu options and follow the below steps.

Step 2: Here, select the account to create the list. Now, add the list name and tap on Done. Now, tap on this list.

Step 3: Once the new contacts list opens, tap on Add Contacts. Select the contacts you wish to add to this list and tap on Done.

This will create the contacts list and add the selected contacts to it. You can also use this to hide contacts on your iPhone.

How to Edit or Delete Contacts List on Your iPhone

To make changes to the currently added contacts, you can edit any of the available contacts list. Or, if no longer required, completely delete the contacts list on your iPhone. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open the Contacts app and tap on the relevant contacts list. Here, tap on the + icon at the top-right corner.

Step 2: From this menu, select the contacts you wish to add to the list and tap on Done. This will add the contacts to the selected contacts list.

To delete any existing contacts, swipe left on the contact and tap on Remove. Similarly, you can swipe left on a contacts list and tap on the bin icon to delete the entire contacts list on your iPhone.
