3 Ways to Fix Google Chrome Not Responding Error

  • Restart Google Chrome: If Google Chrome isn’t responding, restart the browser. Doing this often resolves temporary glitches or browser freezing issues.
  • Update and reinstall Google Chrome: Update the browser to its latest version. Sometimes, outdated versions can make it unresponsive. If the issue persists, reinstall it.

Fix 1: Clear Cache and Cookies

If Google Chrome freezes or crashes frequently, clear its cache and cookies.

Step 1: Open Google Chrome > click the three dots (ellipses).

Step 2: Select Clear browsing data.

Step 3: Switch to Advanced > select Cached images and files > Cookies and other site data.
