Basic Fixes:
- Ensure adequate storage for the installation: If your drive is full, there may not be room for the new installation, which may trigger the problem.
- Ensure the computer meets the minimum requirements: Google Chrome is available on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or Windows 11 or later. The minimum requirements include an Intel Pentium 4 or later capable of SSE3 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 3).

- Uninstall the 32-bit version before installing the 64-bit version: Files from an old 32-bit installation may need to be removed first when upgrading to 64-bit.
Fix 1: Delete Old Chrome Installation Data and Registry Information
Residual files and registry entries may interrupt a new installation. To remove them, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open File Explorer on your PC (use Windows + E keys).
Step 2: Navigate to the path below:
C:\Program Files\Google
Step 3: Delete the Chrome folder from the following menu. You might have to enter the Administrator password to complete this action.
Step 4: Try re-installing Chrome.
Fix 2: Download the Chrome Installer From the Official Website
There are several third-party sources for downloading popular Windows apps from the web. However, you shouldn’t trust any random website to download your PC’s Google Chrome installer file. Stick to the official websites to enjoy the best and most secure experience.
Once downloaded, try installing it, and it should work.
Fix 3: Use the Offline Installer
Suppose you still have trouble downloading and installing Chrome on your Windows computer. In that case, you can download the Chrome offline installer on a different computer and manually move the installation file to your main PC.
