- Restart your device: If you’ve been frequently facing issues when placing calls, hold down the power button and restart your device. This will restart all device functions and get rid of any temporary glitches.
- Try calling from another carrier: To check if this error is a network issue, try calling that same number from a different carrier. If the call connects, it might be that your current network is overloaded and not performing properly.

Wi-Fi calling allows you to use your Wi-Fi to strengthen your mobile network and place calls even with extremely low signal strength. On Android
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Connections. Turn on the toggle for Wi-Fi Calling.
On iPhone
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Cellular. Tap on Wi-Fi calling and turn on the Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone toggle.
Fix 3: Check if the Contact Is Blocked
If you’ve been repeatedly seeing error messages when calling a particular number, it might be time to look at your device’s block list as calling a blocked contact might not yield the best results. Follow the below steps to open the block list on Android.
Step 1: Open the Phone app and go to Recent. Tap the three-dot icon and tap on Settings.
Step 2: Tap on Block numbers and tap on the – icon in front of the relevant number to unblock it.
Similarly, you can also find blocked numbers on an iPhone. Once located, unblock the number and see if the call goes through.
Fix 4: Change Network Mode
If your area doesn’t have 5G available or if network strength is low, you can change your current network mode to enable or disable 5G on your phone. You can make the changes and try placing a call to check which network mode works best for you. Here’s how to do it.
