Hi Zaheer,

Thank you for your comment.

Yes, this is precisely what the disavow tool is for. You should disavow any spam links or any links you think are lowering your ranking instead of improving it.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I have a question that falls in the ‘gray area’ of disavowing. A well known review site is linking to our company site from every domain they own in the world (63). Hence they show up as the 2nd returned result for our name on Google search. Since we only operate in one country, would it be fair and possible to disavow the links from their other worldwide sites? At the moment we are unable to rank our own social profiles on page 1!
Many thanks 🙂

Do you know how long they will disappear on Google Search Console? And how frequently the list will be updated?

Thanks,
Peter

Hi Sua,

Thanks for your comment.
Could you please explain a bit about the first query.

The simplest way to check whether the link is of quality or not is to check the relevancy of the content or website from which you are getting the backlink. If you are getting links from unverified sources which have been spammed or are not regularly updated, that would not be beneficial for your site in the long run.

Hope that will solve your query.

And can you show me how to check backlink quality with ahref ?

Hi Pawan,

Thanks for your comment.

As per our experience, blog commenting is more useful in networking with the respective bloggers in your niche rather than contributing much of the link juice for your site.

You can network with some great bloggers in your niche by regularly commenting on their posts. Other than that, blog comments do add some value to the diversity of the links and make your link profile look natural. If you really want to benefit from blog comments, comment only on related niche sites of your blog.

I hope the above would help you in understanding the point mentioned in the post.

Keep visiting 🙂

You said that backlinks from blog comments can be considered as low-quality links. Of course, they are low-quality links but they are nofollow so anyone should be worried?
I am commenting here and if I get any backlinks so what is the problem in that if that is a nofollow as Google does not consider nofollow links?

At my blog I can see that some backlinks but they are from comments and I remember those sites, I was reading some articles and commented there.
They are nofollow and I checked Semrush which shows 1 or 2 backlinks from those comments although they are 5 to 6, it means Google is calculating them itself.

What\’s the reason? How could I be sure that google disavowed them?
