Factory Reset Your Samsung Device
If you forget the PIN or pattern on your Samsung device, a factory reset is the only solution. This will erase all data and reset your device to its original settings.
To factory reset your Samsung device, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your default browser and go to the SmartThings Find page.
Step 2: Log in with your Samsung account credentials.
Step 3: From the left sidebar, select the device you want to reset.
Step 4: Select Erase data from the popup menu options.
Step 5: On the verification page, enter your Samsung account password, then click OK.
Step 6: Finally, click Erase to confirm the factory reset.
Within a few minutes, your device will be fully wiped and restored to its original settings. You can then set it up anew with a fresh PIN or pattern.
Can You Use SmartThings Find to Unlock Your Samsung Device?
Unfortunately, no. Samsung has removed the Remote Unlock feature from SmartThings Find for security reasons. Now, the only way to unlock a locked Samsung device if you forget the PIN or pattern is to factory reset.
This erases all data and restores the device to its original settings. If you have a backup of your data, you can restore it after the reset.
No, there is no master code to unlock a locked Samsung phone. Some websites may claim to have a master code, but the codes aren’t official, and you could lose all of your data. If you forget your PIN or pattern, a factory reset is the only solution.
As said earlier, a factory reset is the only option if you don’t remember your credentials. However, if you regularly back up your data, you can restore it after a reset.
