Preliminary Fixes
- Restart your Mac: Sometimes, a restart can resolve temporary glitches, including display glitches.
- Inspect the connections: If you are using an external display, ensure that your Mac and display are properly connected with good-quality cables.
- Adjust display resolution: Check your Mac’s resolution. Go to System Settings > Displays and ensure your resolution is set to the native resolution of your screen. You can also adjust the scaling to improve text clarity.
- Update macOS: Outdated software can cause display issues. Update your macOS to the latest version to ensure optimal performance.
Fix 1: Adjusting Brightness
Step 1: Click on the toggle icon at the upper-right corner of your Mac toolbar.
Step 2: Under the text reading Display, move the slider to the left to darken your screen and to the right to do the opposite.
Fix 2: Reducing Motion
Step 1: Select the Apple logo at the top left and select System Settings.
Step 2: Now, tap the Accessibility icon and select Display.
Step 3: Toggle on Reduce motion.
After completing the steps above, your desired changes should take effect immediately.
Fix 3: Reducing Transparency
Step 1: Click on the Apple logo at the top left corner > go to System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Accessibility > go to the Display section in the sidebar.
Step 3: Toggle on Reduce transparency.
That’s it. With this, you should be able to fix your Mac screen looking blurry. If the problem persists, take your Mac to an Apple store for them to have a look.
