4 Best Digital Photo Frames That Work With iPhone

Digital photo frames are a dime a dozen. While some come with internal memory, others have intuitive apps. If you are an iPhone user, digital photo frames that work with iPhones are your best bet.

Aura Mason Frame: Best Premium

  • Size: 9-inch | Resolution: 1600 x 1200 pixels

If you want a digital photo frame that closely resembles conventional photo frames, the Aura Mason frame is a good choice. For one, the app is intuitive and easy to use, and you can add photos directly from your phone’s gallery or iCloud. Interestingly, you can create a dedicated album on your phone, and the frame will auto-sync the images. Above all, the frame looks premium, thanks to the thick and textured borders.

The Mason supports only cloud-based uploads, so you can’t upload pictures using USB drives, emails, or other options. Whenever you add new images, they pop up almost immediately or after a slight delay. It also has a web uploader. Apart from the above, the Mason frame automatically crops photos to fit the frame size. Secondly, the automatic light sensor adjusts the screen brightness according to the ambient lighting.

What We Like

  • Excellent display
  • Supports both portrait and landscape mode
  • Web uploader

What We Don’t Like

  • Expensive

Why you should buy it: Add photos directly from your iPhone. Conventional design.

Aura Carver Smart Digital Picture Frame: All-Rounder

  • Size: 10.1-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1200 pixels

You can’t go wrong with the Aura Craver if you want a minimalist photo frame. This photo frame has an FHD resolution and renders sharp and vivid images. It is also based on the same platform as the Mason, and you can transfer photos from your iPhone quickly. It also supports Google Photos.

One feature that sets it apart from other picture frames is its landscape-only orientation. It packs the Intelligent Photo Pairing feature that pairs two similar portrait frames in a frame, so you won’t have space on display. Secondly, it lets you share over 10,000 photos from your phone. I have been using this for about a year and have no complaints. Pictures transfer fast, and the best part is that you can also remove old photos through the app.

What We Like

  • Extremely easy to use app
  • Intelligent photo pairing
  • Vibrant display

What We Don’t Like

  • Limited to HD
  • Landscape-only orientation

Why you should buy it: It displays colorful, bright, and true-to-life photos. Automatically groups similar photos, removes duplicates and aligns two similar portrait photos together.

PhotoShare Friends and Family Smart Frame: Best Value for Money

  • Size: 10-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1080 pixels

Another affordable option is the PhotoShare Smart Frame. This one offers an FHD resolution on a 10-inch display. Like the one above, it has an 8GB internal memory. While you can add photos via the companion app, you can also stick an SD card to showcase some memorable moments. It also supports Google Photos.

The companion app is compatible with iPhones and can simultaneously handle up to 50 photos. Moreover, you can add some lively captions to your favorite memories. It’s an FHD display, and the picture quality is fairly decent for the price. On the upside, you get several extra perks, such as playing videos and music.

What We Like

  • Easy to use
  • Decent picture quality
  • FHD display
  • Aggressive price

What We Don’t Like

  • Poor customer support

Why you should buy it: Affordable. It supports other options like internal memory and a slot for SD cards.

Feelcare Smart Wi-Fi Digital Picture Frame: Best Affordable Pick

  • Size: 10-inch | Resolution: 800 x 1280 pixels

The Feelcare Digital photo frame walks the line between affordable and premium frames. It boasts an IPS backlit touchscreen with a resolution of 800×1280 pixels. The 16:10 aspect ratio means that photos from all your smartphone photos will appear without cropping. Guess what? The frame has 8GB of internal memory and lets you send pictures and videos directly through the phone app.

Like the one above, the iPhone app is seamless and easy to configure. The frame connects directly to your home Wi-Fi. That said, there are some limitations. For instance, the configuration is done on the frame and not through the app. On the upside, there is a small gap between the bezel and the actual photo on the frame, which gives the impression of a conventional photo frame. The Feelcare frame may not have the best picture quality, but it does a decent job for the price.

What We Like

  • Intuitive iPhone app
  • Internal memory
  • Easy to use app

What We Don’t Like

  • Picture quality could be better

Why you should buy it: The iPhone app is extremely easy to configure. Plus, it has options for internal storage.

  1. This article is inaccurate – none of the photo frames allow adding photos from iCloud, only Google Photos. This is very misleading and should be changed – there are no photos frames on the market that allow photos to be added from iCloud.
