Try Basic Fixes
- Restart your phone and earbuds: Temporary issues with your Galaxy Buds 3 or phone can cause audio sync problems. In most cases, you can fix these issues by restarting both devices. To restart the earbuds, insert them into the charging case and close the lid. Wait at least seven seconds, then remove the earbuds and use them again.
- Ensure earbuds have enough charge: Audio sync issues can also occur if one or both of the Galaxy Buds have a low battery. Insufficient battery levels can cause sync problems due to reduced processing power. Check the battery status in the Galaxy Wearable app and recharge the earbuds if necessary.
- Turn off power-saving mode: Enabling power-saving mode on your computer or phone can cause audio lag with Bluetooth devices. To avoid this, disable the power or battery saver mode on your phone or computer.
Fix 1: Unpair and Pair the Earbuds
Pairing issues between your Galaxy earbuds and your phone or computer can sometimes cause problems. Unpairing and re-pairing the Galaxy Buds 3 is a simple yet effective way of fixing such issues. Here’s how to do it.
On Android
Step 1: Open the Settings app > head to Connections > Bluetooth.
Step 2: Tap the gear icon next to your Galaxy Buds > select Unpair > choose Unpair again to confirm.
On iPhone
Step 1: Open the Settings app > head to Bluetooth > tap the info icon next to your Galaxy Buds.
Step 2: Tap Forget This Device > hit Forget Device to confirm.
Similarly, you can also unpair the Galaxy Buds from a computer. After that, pair your Galaxy Buds 3 again and check if the issue is resolved.
Fix 2: Enable Gaming Mode in the Wearable App
Are you experiencing audio lag or sync problems on your Galaxy Buds 3 while gaming? If so, try enabling Gaming mode. This will strengthen the Bluetooth connection and minimize delays, ensuring synchronized gaming sound.
Open the Galaxy Wearable app, go to Earbuds settings > Labs > enable the toggle for Gaming mode. Try using your Galaxy Buds 3 again and see if the issue persists.
Fix 3: Check for Software Updates for Earbuds
Samsung regularly releases updates for the Galaxy Buds 3 that include various improvements and bug fixes. If nothing else works, update your Galaxy Buds 3 software using these steps:
Step 1: Launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone > go to Earbuds settings.
Step 2: Scroll down to tap Earbuds software update > Download and install. The app will automatically start looking for updates.
