Try Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Check App Permissions
A lack of relevant app permissions can prevent WhatsApp from working properly on your iPhone. For instance, if you’ve denied WhatsApp access to photos or mobile data, you could experience problems. Here’s how to fix that.
Step 1: Open the Settings app and scroll down to tap on WhatsApp.
Step 2: Allow all the required permissions by enabling their respective toggles.
Fix 2: Set the Correct Date and Time
If your iPhone is set to an incorrect date or time, WhatsApp might fail to connect to its servers and also show an inaccurate date or time error. To avoid this, configure your iPhone to use the network-provided date and time.
Step 1: Launch the Settings app and navigate to General > Date & Time.
Step 2: Turn on the toggle for Set Automatically.
Fix 3: Disable Low Data Mode
Low Data Mode can restrict an app’s ability to use the internet effectively on your phone. So, if you’ve been using Low Data Mode on your iPhone, consider turning it off. To disable Low Data Mode on Wi-Fi:
Step 1: Open the Settings app > tap Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Tap the info icon next to your Wi-Fi network and toggle off Low Data Mode.
Likewise, if you use mobile data, use the steps below to disable Low Data Mode.
Step 1: Open up the Settings app > navigate to Mobile Data.
Step 2: Tap on Mobile Data Options and disable Low Data Mode from the following menu.
Fix 4: Reset Network Settings
Misconfigured network settings on your iPhone could also result in such issues. Identifying the incorrect setting can be time-consuming. Instead, you should reset existing network settings and start over.
Step 1: Open the Settings app > navigate to General > tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 2: Tap on Reset at the bottom > choose Reset Network Settings from the menu.
Step 2: Enter your lock screen password and tap on the Reset Network Settings confirmation box to start the restoration process.
