FAQs on Removing Google Account from Google Chrome
Removing a Google account from a specific device means it is removed only from that device. The account will still exist and can be used on other devices or re-added to the same device in the future.
In contrast, deleting a Google account is a serious step that erases all your data from Google servers and devices connected to your account. It’s a permanent action, which means you won’t be able to recover your data later. So, it’s essential to take this step carefully and ensure you’ve backed up all the data you need before deleting your account.
Deleting a Chrome profile only removes the profile and associated data from the local device. It does not delete the Google account associated with the profile. You can still access the Google account on other devices or through a web browser by signing in with the account credentials. However, if you want to delete the Google account completely, you must go through a separate process.
You can now delete your account from a shared device if you don’t want your browsing history and personal data synced across multiple devices.
